DC Shoes LogoThe news came directly from Huntington Beach, California, on Wednesday, January 25: DC Shoes has officially collaborated with the newly formed Supercross.com/Honda racing team. The team, owned by superstar Jeremy McGrath and manager Larry Brooks, is looking to make waves throughout the motocross community - and this is certainly a step in the right direction.

The brand new Supercross.com/Honda team just made their debut at the first round of the 2012 AMA Supercross Series in Anaheim, but they are excited about the future. Larry Brooks was recently reached for an interview regarding the recent partnership with DC, where he said, “DC is a brand that we are excited to have associated with our team. Many people worldwide know that DC makes great stuff, but our goal is to help expand the brand even further with our new race team. I couldn't be happier to have a brand like DC associated with our race team.”

Jeremy McGrath, a 7-time AMA Supercross Series championship winner himself, was also reached for an interview regarding the new partnership. "I've been involved with DC for a number of years. They are a quality company, with quality people, and make great products. I've made it a point in my career to only work with companies and products that I truly believe in. DC makes products that people of all ages would enjoy." McGrath said.

Aside from the knowledge and experience granted from McGrath and Brooks, Supercross.com has also contributed a lot to the team's inaugural season. They recently collaborated with Angrybikes.com as an associate sponsor to the team. Angrybikes.com is responsible for a brand new, arcade inspired motocross game that is available exclusively for the Apple iPhone. It is available now in the App Store.

Matt Cook, new owner of Supercross.com, also commented on the recent merger of DC Shoes and the Supercross.com/Honda racing team. He was quoted as saying, “Bringing DC and the Supercross.com / Honda race team together is a perfect union. Supercross.com aims to be the best in its field, exactly as DC has done. DC is known worldwide for being 'the best.'The Supercross.com / Honda race team has that same goal - to be the best, and couldn't do it without the help and support of DC.”

Ken Block and Damon Way originally founded DC in 1993. Specializing in skateboard shoes and apparel, the companies soon become one of the most well known names in the skateboarding community. They have grown exponentially throughout the years, and they now offer shoes and apparel for men, women, and children, as well as offering equipment for motocross, BMX, skateboarding, surfing, snowboarding, and more. A subsidiary of Quiksilver, Inc., DC Shoes is responsible for sponsoring some of the biggest athletes, teams, and events in motocross today, and they have been working closely with Jeremy McGrath for many years. This makes the partnership a natural fit, and one that will undoubtedly benefit both organizations in the end.
