One of several new helmet lines offered by Troy Lee Designs for the 2012 season is the D3 series. While they're not suitable for use with motorized vehicles, including dirt bikes, they are great for the motocross rider who enjoys BMX on their off time. For fans of Troy Lee Designs, these helmets also make great decoration pieces.
The Troy Lee Designs D3 Pinstripe helmet, available in either blue or black, is the most basic model in the D3 line. The black model features a solid paint scheme with red and white graphics, while the blue version features white highlights around the adjustable visor. Integrated cavities on the interior of the helmet leave plenty of space for your earbuds or small headphones, so you will even be able to listen to your favorite tunes while wearing this helmet.
In stark contrast to the Pinstripe, the Troy Lee designs D3 Carbon Fiber features a paint scheme that is loud and eye-catching. Available in orange or yellow, both helmets features large black zig-zags across the majority of the helmet. Adjustable visors and a dual-density shock padding system make this helmet not only comfortable, but safe, as well.
Available in a color scheme of white and blue or yellow and red, the Troy Lee designs D3 Stinger helmet is absolutely screaming for attention. It's bright colors are sure to get you noticed when participating in BMX or off-road mountain biking, and it's solid design will also keep you safe. Finally, the D3 Stinger helmet utilizes 20 separate intake and exhaust vents, making it one of the coolest bicycle helmets on the market - literally.
The Troy Lee Designs D3 Palmer helmet, available only in a two-tone color scheme of black and red with gold highlights, is one of the sleekest bicycle helmets in their entire 2012 line. Various white and black arrow patterns are scattered around the shell of the helmet, adding that extra kick needed to really set this design off. An adjustable visor lets you customize the helmet to your exact needs, and titanium visor screws reduce the overall weight of the helmet.
Featuring one of the most vivid graphic schemes of their entire 2012 line, the Troy Lee Designs D3 Speedwing helmet is for bicycle riders who really want to make an impression. Bright colors of blue, yellow, and white cover a base of black, and feathered wing graces the side of the helmet. For added aesthetic intimidation, the helmet also features a large, bulging yellow eyeball graphic.
Perhaps the most unique bicycle helmets in their 2012 editions, the Troy Lee Designs D3 Peat “World Champ” Carbon Fiber helmet is a specialized version of their basic D3 Carbon Fiber helmet. Use a black base color, the helmet features a medieval beast on the side and flowing ribbons of blue, red, yellow, and green. The British flag also graces the visor of the helmet, with the familiar Troy Lee Designs logo scrawled just below it. Finally, elegantly curved streaks of white serve to round out the design of this extremely fancy helmet.
