Nitro Racing, one of the United Kingdom's top selling motorcycle brands of all times, has recently introduced the Nitro N-PSi helmet to the sport of motocross - and it's something that certainly has the industry abuzz. With an inventive design that is meant to provide the maximum amount of comfort without sacrificing safety or reliability, the new Nitro N-PSi helmet might very well be the new standard when it comes to motocross or motorcycle head protection.

The heart of the helmet lies with its innovative pressure secured interior - PSi for short. The helmet works by offering an inflatable layer of padding between your head and the interior shell of the helmet itself. Once the helmet is on, minor adjustments can be made by inflating specific portions of the system. This results in a helmet that fits securely, safely, and comfortably every single time.

When used correctly, Nitro's N-PSi system will conform itself around the contours of your head. This customizable feel simply is not viable with today's mass produced motocross helmets. Factor in the helmet's relatively low price point, and you'll be enjoying a custom-fit helmet at a fraction of the cost.

Moreover, you won't have to rely on any type of external pump to inflate the helmet's protective padding - it's already built in. Simply pressing the pump mechanism on the front of the helmet lets you achieve your desired fit. Deflation is as easy as holding the release valve until all the air has been emptied.

The inflatable protection system isn't the only safety measure utilized within the N-PSi helmet. It also features pneumatic cushioning, meant to help absorb any impacts taken directly to the helmet. This keeps vibrations away from your head and diverts it to the helmet's shell where it belongs.

While safety was obviously a concern by the research and development team at Nitro Racing, it wasn't the only factor affecting the design of their N-PSi helmet. Achieving the maximum amount of comfort was also essential, and it was something that couldn't be achieved simply by using the inflatable protection system of the helmet.

In order to promote airflow, the helmet includes built-in, adjustable ventilation near the chin and face. A dual air filtration system, which is also adjustable, highlights the brow and helps draw moisture away from your eyes and face. Finally, dual exhaust vents on the rear of the helmet help with overall air circulation and heat dissipation.

The Nitro N-PSi helmet is available in two different colors: flat black or satin black. This lets you pick the shade that best matches the rest of your racing attire, and even offers the opportunity for customization if you desire. The adjustable visor features an anti-scratch coating to provide a clear field of view for each and every race. A soft comfort liner covers the helmet's inflation system, providing a non-abrasive inside surface. This liner can easily be removed for cleaning purposes.

Nitro Racing's N-PSi helmet was designed to meet all of the ECE 22.05 and ACU Gold standards. This ensures the product is safe and reliable enough for professional racing use.
