With a proven track record of providing high quality motocross gear for professional use, Shoei is amongst the industry's pack leaders. Using their prior knowledge and research to pave the way into the future of the sport, they have continually set the bar in terms of safety standards and designs in motocross today. Moreover, with professional riders like Kevin Windham, Destry Abbott, Josh Strang, and Josh Grant all using Shoei gear in their races, you know their stuff is built to last. Their highly anticipated line of 2012 motocross helmets is no exception.
All of the helmets in Shoei's newest line feature their patented AIM+ shell construction, which is some of the most durable material used in helmets today. A dual-layer EPS liner reduces the buildup of sweat and moisture on the inside of the helmet, and a max-dry liner system means the interior won't retain moisture in the event it does get wet. A V-430 “Sleek” design visor keeps sun, rain, and flying dirt out of your eyes and face, and a highly efficient ventilation system works to keep your head and face cool throughout the race. Each helmet also features an integrated “Sleek” mouthpiece.
The Shoei VFX-W Dissent TC-1 helmet features a black background with red graphics on top. A shining sun shoots large red rays out from all sides, and the Shoei brand logo is displayed prominently across the top and sides. The Shoei VFX-W Dissent TC-1 is available in sizes Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large, and 2X Large.
Similar in design to the TC-1, the VFX-W Dissent TC-2 features the same graphics with a blue and white color scheme. Black highlights around the face and throughout the main shell of the helmet add to the looks, without making the graphics to tacky or overbearing. The helmet also features several Shoei logos, so your new gear will be instantly recognizable on the track.
Perhaps the most basic of all Shoei's 2012 helmet designs is the VFX-W Dissent TC-6. It shares the same graphics as the TC-1 and TC-2, with the iconic shining sun displayed on the side. The TC-6 features a black and white color scheme, however, so it's ideal for those who aren't looking to stand out too much on the track.
Whereas the TC-6 helmet features Shoei's most basic of designs, the 2012 Shoei VFX-W Dissent TC-7 helmet is the company's most wild-looking entry in their recent line of motocross headgear. Once again, it features a large sun with protruding rays of light stretching across and around the helmet, but the TC-7 is the most colorful with a black background that is highlighted with streaks of blue and red.
Lastly is the Shoei VFX-W Salute TC-2. It's all-American design of red, white, and blue will be appealing to many riders, and the vibrant colors are sure to draw attention on the track. As with all of the helmets in Shoei's 2012 line, the VFX-W Salute TC-2 is available in sizes ranging from Extra Small to 2X Large.
