Oakley is one of the most renowned eyewear companies in the entire world – they are responsible for some of the sleekest sunglasses ever released to the consumer market. Because of this, it’s no wonder they would take their expertise into the world of motocross eye protection. The Oakley Proven MX Goggle, available in a multitude of colors and styles, is only one product in their extensive catalog – but it deserves a better look.

The Oakley Proven MX Goggle was truly built with all-day comfort in mind. An anatomically designed frame, complete with three layers of moisture wicking facial foam, will keep you dry and comfortable all day, and integrated ventilation slits provide airflow that isn’t usually seen in lesser goggles. Included posts accommodate many different types of tear-off systems, and the Lexan lens itself is scratch resistant to ensure its lifespan and integrity. On top of all this, the Oakley Proven MX Goggle has an impact resistance rating of EN 174, which is remarkable for a motocross goggle.

Each goggle in the Oakley Proven line features a large elastic strap, which features the Oakley logo, in a color that matches the primary color of the frame. A large, replaceable lens allows for maximum vision on the track, and it offers UV protection as well as anti-fog qualities. Finally, the nose is contoured to provide a snug, comfortable fit.

There are no less than 12 different variations of the Oakley Proven MX Goggle available. They range in price, and can typically purchased for $50 to $75. Some of their more artistic designs include Brake Check Green, which features a green-checkered pattern and a clear lens; Brake Check Navy, which features a checkered pattern in yellow and navy and a clear lens; Brake Check Pink, which features a pink checkerboard pattern; and Brake Check Red, which features a black and red checkerboard pattern. The finally checkered pattern is seen in the Oakley Proven MX Checked Out Goggle variant, which features a traditional black and white pattern of checkers with highlights of red throughout. The Checked Out variant also comes with a clear lens installed.

Most of the other variants in Oakley’s Proven MX line of goggles are not as detailed as those highlighted above, but some riders may actually prefer the low-key look offered by the basic designs in the series. Available colors here include blue with a clear lens, black with white highlights and a clear lens, white with black highlights and a clear lens, and Viper Red with a clear lens.

Finally, Oakley offers two specialized goggles within their Proven MX line. The True Carbon Fiber design is black in color, but a futuristic pattern combined with the tinted lens – known as a Black Iridium lens – makes it one of the coolest looking goggles in the entire series. The True Carbon Fiber goggle is also available with a clear lens.
